Rat Tales part II

askygoneonfireSorry if you have no interest in this but not planning to stop blogging about them any time soon. They're basically the most important thing in my life.
Rat relations continue to flourish. The day before yesterday they both played *with* me instead of *next* to me for the first time. Nico decided I made a brilliant vantage point and spent most of the evening standing on my knee. So cute! Last night Nico climbed up my arm in order to sit on my shoulder. He *chose* to be shoulder rat! My flatmate came back from a 2week holiday yesterday so tonight I got the rats and brought them downstairs. This is the first time I've walked around whilst holding them and they were *perfect*- sitting at the back of my neck and then on my crossed arms and generally looking so cute you could die.
ETA: ok, that was dull. But I'm excited! I'll do a real entry tomorrow.

Date: 2010-03-16 08:14 pm (UTC)We've recently adopted two 3 month old boys and the one bit really quite badly at first, and was always terrified of us. We were despairing and my boyfriend who is more experienced with rat handling didn't think he'd ever come round. While he's still a little wriggle-bum, he now greets us at the cage door and puts up with scritches and cuddles. I don't think he'll ever be as soppy as our old boys, but he's come a really long way in just over a month - you just need lots of patience.
Do you have/have you posted pictures of them?
