My hardest plane experience was coming in to land at Birmingham and the plane was fairly far into the descent. All of a sudden it pulled out of that sharply. The plane went silent.

2 minutes later it was announced that the police helicopter was in chase over the airport and they took precedence.

The weirdest thing was the silence. Films always show screaming etc in those situations but everything just stopped. People only panicked out loud once we were told things were ok.
